【摘要】:Volatility,expressedintermsofthe95%evaporatedtemperatureoftheproduct,isameasureoftheamountofleastvolatilecomponentspresentintheproduct.Coupledwithavaporpressurelimit,itservestoensureessentiallysingle-componentproductsinthecasesofcommercialgradesofpropaneandbutane.Whenvolatilityiscoupledwithavaporpressurelimitwhichhasbeenrelatedtodensity,asinthecaseofthecommercialPB-mixture,thecombinationservestoassureessentiallytwocomponentmixturesforsuchfuels.Whencoupledwithapropervaporpressurelimit,thismeasurementservestoassurethatspecial-dutypropaneproductswillbecomposedchieflyofpropaneandpropyleneandthatpropanewillbethemajorconstituent.1.1Thistestmethodisameasureoftherelativepurityofthevarioustypesofliquefiedpetroleum(LP)gasesandhelpstoensuresuitablevolatilityperformance.Thetestresults,whenproperlyrelatedtovaporpressureanddensityoftheproduct,canbeusedtoindicatethepresenceofbutaneandheaviercomponentsinpropanetypeLP-gas,andpentaneandheaviercomponentsinpropane-butaneandbutanetypefuels.ThepresenceofhydrocarboncompoundslessvolatilethanthoseofwhichtheLP-gasisprimarilycomposedisindicatedbyanincreaseinthe95%evaporatedtemperature.1.2Whenthetypeandconcentrationofhigherboilingcomponentsisrequired,chromatographicanalysisshouldbeused.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
