【摘要】:Thistestmethodisintendedforthedeterminationofchromium,bromine,cadmium,mercury,andlead,inhomogeneouspolymericmaterials.Thetestmethodmaybeusedtoascertaintheconformanceoftheproductundertesttomanufacturingspecifications.Typicaltimeforameasurementis5to10minperspecimen,dependingonthespecimenmatrixandthecapabilitiesoftheEDXRFspectrometer.1.1ThistestmethoddescribesanenergydispersiveX-rayfluorescence(EDXRF)spectrometricprocedureforidentificationandquantificationofchromium,bromine,cadmium,mercury,andleadinpolymericmaterials.1.2Thistestmethodisnotapplicabletodeterminetotalconcentrationsofpolybrominatedbiphenyls(PBB),polybrominateddiphenylethers(PBDE)orhexavalentchromium.Thistestmethodcannotbeusedtodeterminethevalencestatesofatomsorions.1.3Thistestmethodisapplicableforarangefrom20mg/kgtoapproximately1wt%forchromium,bromine,cadmium,mercury,andleadinpolymericmaterials.1.4Thistestmethodisapplicableforhomogeneouspolymericmaterial.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Valuesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.6Thistestmethodisnotapplicabletoquantitativedeterminationsforspecimenswithoneormoresurfacecoatingspresentontheanalyzedsurface;however,qualitativeinformationmaybeobtained.Inaddition,specimenslessthaninfinitelythickforthemeasuredXrays,mustnotbecoatedonthereversesideormountedonasubstrate.1.7Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
