【摘要】:1.1Thispracticecoversproceduresforirradiationsataccelerator-basedneutronsources.Thediscussionfocusesontwotypesofsources,namelynearlymonoenergetic14-MeVneutronsfromthedeuterium-tritiumT(d,n)interaction,andbroadspectrumneutronsfromstoppingdeuteriumbeamsinthickberylliumorlithiumtargets.However,mostoftherecommendationsalsoapplytoothertypesofaccelerator-basedsources,includingspallationneutronsources().Interestinspallationsourceshasincreasedrecentlyduetotheirproposedusefortransmutationoffissionreactorwaste().1.2Manyoftheexperimentsconductedusingsuchneutronsourcesareintendedtosimulateirradiationinanotherneutronspectrum,forexample,thatfromaDTfusionreaction.Thewordsimulationisusedhereinabroadsensetoimplyanapproximationoftherelevantneutronirradiationenvironment.Thedegreeofconformitycanrangefrompoortonearlyexact.Ingeneral,theintentofthesesimulationsistoestablishthefundamentalrelationshipsbetweenirradiationormaterialparametersandthematerialresponse.Theextrapolationofdatafromsuchexperimentsrequiresthatthedifferencesinneutronspectrabeconsidered.1.3Theprocedurestobeconsideredincludemethodsforcharacterizingtheacceleratorbeamandtarget,theirradiatedsample,andtheneutronfluxandspectrum,aswellasproceduresforrecordingandreportingirradiationdata.1.4Otherexperimentalproblems,suchastemperaturecontrol,arenotincluded.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
