【摘要】:Thecomparisonofobservedgraphiteparticleswiththestructuresshowninthechartsgiveonlypurelydescriptiveinformationonthetype,distribution,andsizeofthegraphiteinthesamplebeingevaluated.Itdoesnotindicateexceptinaverybroadwaytheoriginofthegraphite,orthesuitabilityoftheiron-carbonalloyforaparticularservice.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheclassificationofgraphiteincastironsintermsoftype,distribution,andsize.Thistestmethodisintendedtobeapplicableforalliron-carbonalloyscontaininggraphiteparticles,andmaybeappliedtograyirons,malleableirons,andtheductile(nodular)irons.1.2Thereferencestandardsincludedinthistestmethodareinnowaytobeconstruedasspecifications.Inanappropriatespecificationforaspecificmaterialwheregraphitemicrostructureisanimportantconsiderationthistestmethodmaybeusedasareferencetodefineconciselythegraphitemicrostructurerequired.1.3Thesestandardsareofferedprimarilytopermitaccuratereportingofmicrostructuresofcastironsandtofacilitatethecomparisonofreportsbydifferentlaboratoriesorinvestigators.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
