【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoversminimum-wall-thickness,seamlessmedium-carbonsteel,boilertubesandboilerflues,includingsafeends(Note1),archandstaytubes,andsuperheatertubes.Note1&8212;Thistypeisnotsuitableforsafeendingbyforgewelding.Thetubingsizesandthicknessesusuallyfurnishedtothisspecificationare1/2in.to5in.[12.7to127mm]inoutsidediameterand0.035to0.500in.[0.9to12.7mm],inclusive,inminimumwallthickness.Tubinghavingotherdimensionsmaybefurnished,providedsuchtubescomplywithallotherrequirementsofthisspecification.Mechanicalpropertyrequirementsdonotapplytotubingsmallerthan1/8in.[3.2mm]ininsidediameteror0.015in.[0.4mm]inthickness.WhentheseproductsaretobeusedinapplicationsconformingtoISORecommendationsforBoilerConstruction,therequirementsofSpecificationA520,shallsupplementandsupersedetherequirementsofthisspecification.Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundunitsorSIunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,theSIunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththespecification.Theinch-poundunitsshallapplyunlessthe"M"designationofthisspecificationisspecifiedintheorder.
