【摘要】:Thistestmethodissensitivetopolymermolecularweightandmolecularweightdistribution,polymerstabilityx2014;boththermalandrheological,shearinstability,andadditivessuchasplasticizers,lubricants,moisturereinforcements,orinertfillers,orcombinationthereof.Thesensitivityofthistestmethodmakesthedatausefulforcorrelatingwithprocessingconditionsandaidsinpredictingnecessarychangesinprocessingconditions.UnlikeTestMethodD1238,whichmakesaone-pointmeasureatashearratetypicallybelowprocessingconditions,thistestmethoddeterminestheshearsensitivityandflowcharacteristicsatprocessingshearrates,andthereforecanbeusedtocomparematerialsofdifferentcompositions.1.1Thistestmethodcoversmeasurementoftherheologicalpropertiesofpolymericmaterialsatvarioustemperaturesandshearratescommontoprocessingequipment.Itcoversmeasurementofmeltviscosity,sensitivity,orstabilityofmeltviscositywithrespecttotemperatureandpolymerdwelltimeintherheometer,dieswellratio(polymermemory),andshearsensitivitywhenextrudingunderconstantrateorstress.Thetechniquesdescribedpermitthecharacterizationofmaterialsthatexhibitbothstableandunstablemeltviscosityproperties.1.2Thistestmethodhasbeenfoundusefulforqualitycontroltestsonbothreinforcedandunreinforcedthermoplastics,curecyclesofthermosettingmaterials,andotherpolymericmaterialshavingawiderangeofmeltviscosities.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Theinch-poundunitsgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Note18212;AlthoughthistestmethodandISO11443x2013;1995,x201C;Plasticx2014;DeterminationoftheFluidityofPlasticsUsingCapillaryandSlit-DieRheometersx201D;differinapproachordetail,thedataobtainedusingISO11443,MethodAistechnicallyequivalenttothistestmethod1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
